It has emerged that KAA Ghent’s ace striker, Gift Orban, has no intention of signing for Arsenal, even though he’s not been pursued by the North London side. In an unusual revelation, the 20-year-old Belgian forward explained his dream is to move to the Premier League but not with the Gunners.
Orban’s remark came in an interview with Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
The player has had a remarkable season at KAA Ghent, with his scoring rate – 19 goals and two assists in 19 games, including five goals in the Europa Conference League – indicating he has a bright future ahead.
Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool over the Gunners. “Playing in a big league,” he stated when asked about his ‘craziest football dream’.
In the interview, Orban commented on his view of Arsenal, “I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles. They play and sell players – that’s it.”
Orban made it clear that he wants to join a club that prioritises winning titles, citing Real Madrid as an example of a team that, in his words, “don’t have time for tiki-taka, there they just grab titles.”
The Belgian striker’s candid comments have attracted attention, especially considering his impressive current form, which is likely to draw interest from the biggest clubs around the globe.
If Orban maintains this trajectory, he could well find himself at one of the Premier League giants he dreams of, albeit not Arsenal.
