Rodrigo Becao is expected to return to Serie A from Fenerbahce as Atalanta are close to reaching an agreement with José Mourinho’s side and the ex-Udinese centre-back.

Brazilian defender Becao is close to joining Atalanta. Turkish media broke the news, which was confirmed by Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

It is reported that Atalanta and Fenerbahce are finalising a loan deal with an option to buy. According to Di Marzio, Atalanta hope to complete the deal in the next 48 hours.

Becao played for Udinese from 2019 until 2023, making 130 Serie A appearances.

The 28-year-old scored one goal in 22 appearances in his first season with Fenerbahce in 2023-24.

Atalanta have been very active in the transfer window over the last two days, having reached an agreement to sign Raul Bellanova from Torino and selling El-Bilal Touré to Stuggart.

It remains to be seen if they’ll also sell Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus for €60m, as several reputable Italian sources suggest.
