“Be direct… enjoy the game” – Winger on what Enzo Maresca wants from him | OneFootball

Players going on international duty always means a chance to hear from players in a different environment and a different context, and we weren’t surprised to see Noni Madueke given the callup today by TalkSport.

He’s been in great form for Chelsea, and now has the chance to make his maiden England appearance.

Speaking about Enzo Maresca he was very positive and said that the new coach wanted him to “be direct”, something we’ve already seen in action in these nascent weeks of the season. Maresca also wants to see defensive improvements, and that’s also something we expect to see a lot of from Noni.

Mauricio Pochettino deserves a lot of credit for working with the former PSV winger and we saw improvements towards the end of last season, but things have gone up another step since then and we’re excited to see what he’s going to produce going forward.
