Paris Saint-Germain are headed to the UEFA Champions League final after a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the second leg, sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory Wednesday night at Parc des Princes.
Arsenal came in needing goals to keep their hopes alive, but it was PSG who struck first. Fabián Ruiz found the net with a brilliant finish in the 27th minute to give the home side the early edge.
The hosts took that lead into the break and nearly doubled it after a handball gave Vitinha a chance from the spot, but David Raya came up big to keep Arsenal in it.
Even with the missed penalty, PSG kept the pressure on. Achraf Hakimi added a second goal to ignite the home crowd, though Bukayo Saka responded to briefly lift Arsenal’s hopes. In the end, it wasn’t enough, and the French side punched their ticket to the final.

After the match, former Manchester City defender and BBC pundit Nedum Onuoha spotlighted one key trait that PSG have that put them over the top against Arsenal.
“Paris Saint-Germain’s work-rate is the thing that’s really key for them,” Onuoha said (h/t BBC). “Because even at the start of this game, they were on the backfoot, but they were all working very hard for one another. These are players who probably want to be spending more time in attack but they understand the dirty work that has to go into being successful.
The Parisians will now put this tie behind them as they will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
