After spending the first half of last season on loan at 1.FC Nuremberg, Bayern Munich are sending 22-year-old Sarpreet Singh out on another loan spell.
Following spending the last six months with the Bayern reserves, Singh will enjoy another taste of 2. Bundesliga football with SSV Jahn Regensburg.
The New Zealand international is a very versatile player who featured on both wings, as a number 10, at right midfield, and even up top at striker last season.
“Last season at 1. FC Nürnberg, Sarpreet familiarized himself with the requirements in the 2nd division and made his first appearances there at a higher level,” said Jochen Sauer, head of the FC Bayern campus.
“Now he should develop sustainably on this level in Regensburg in order to take the next step in his development.”
Singh will have a full pre-season at Regensburg after Bayern refused to allow the player to join New Zealand for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.
