Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insists the club are not interested in “human trafficking” James Rodríguez this summer.
As things stands, James will return to Real Madrid in June after a two-year loan spell with the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern have a €42m option-to-buy the midfielder but will avoid triggering the clause if their intention isn’t to keep him.
“That’s not the style of Bayern,” he told AS. “We don’t do human trafficking, to push something elsewhere to make some money.
“We will come together next week and decide what to do. We must put all options on the table and decide how to handle all those things.
“We must make exclamation marks out of the question marks.”
Bayern are instead pursuing a move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sané after already securing deals for Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernández.
