As the situation develops, fans of both clubs will be eagerly awaiting official confirmations.

The German took over at Bayern in March 2023 and has had an underwhelming stint in the Bundesliga.

Bayern failed to win the league for the first time in 11 years.

Tuchel, however, is known to be a serial winner, famously guiding Chelsea to the Champions League title in his first season in charge in 2021.

His experience at the top level could give him the edge over other managerial candidates like Kieran McKenna and Thomas Frank, both of whom haven’t managed a team of the stature of United.
