Tottenham Transfer News: Bayern Munich “will” make Harry Kane offer if there is an opportunity

According to Manuel Veth (h/t journalist Jacque Talbot), Bayern Munich will make an offer for Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur if there is an opportunity to do so.

The Bavarian giants have started the Bundesliga season in poor form. After their recent defeat to Augsburg, they are currently fourth in the table with just 12 points from seven league games.

Their fans would be quick to point out Robert Lewandowski’s sale to Barcelona as the reason why they are failing to see games through with conviction. They have scored the most goals in the German top flight so far this campaign (19), but they failed to score the winning goal in four separate league games.

Sadio Mane’s transfer from Liverpool was expected to be the signing that could potentially replace the Poland international. But the Senegalese star has played the majority of his career down the wings.

What next for Kane?

He has also played the full 90 minutes in the Bundesliga just two out of seven times. Hence, it is understandable if Bayern pursue Kane with all their might.

The 29-year-old is a goal-scoring machine, the likes of which the Premier League has only seen a handful of times before. He is third in the PL’s all-time goal-scorers list with 189 goals.

Spurs fans would hope that touching Alan Shearer’s record of 260 league goals is one more factor that keeps the England international at N17. But that is just wishful thinking and anything can happen if Bayern – who have been historically laden with silverware – come knocking.

2024. If he doesn’t renew, perhaps this is the “opportunity” that Bayern would be on the lookout for.
