Previous Meeting

Guardiola’s team last came face-to-face with Tuchel’s Bayern Munich on 19 April 2023 as we travelled to Germany for the second leg of our quarter-final match-up against the Bundesliga champions in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland gave us the lead in the 57th minute, extending our aggregate to 4-0 after a thrilling first leg at the Etihad Stadium.

Joshua Kimmich converted Bayern’s penalty kick in the 83rd minute to level the score but it was Guardiola’s team that progressed to the semi-finals after a 4-1 win on aggregate. We all know what happened in the rest of the Champions League tournament.
