In search of a striker before the transfer window closes, Bayern are exploring multiple options. After the failed pursuit of Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea), which was halted by Liam Delap's injury, and the unsuccessful attempt for Ademola Lookman (Atalanta), which was blocked by the Italians, the Bavarian club made another move for the young Bissau-Guinean international. However, the Danish club quickly rejected the proposal, as they are unwilling to part ways with their top scorer.

At 21 years old, Franculino is putting up impressive numbers: 9 goals and 3 assists in 12 matches this season, and a total of 42 goals in 85 appearances for Midtjylland. Under contract with the club until 2029, he had already attracted interest from Villarreal, who were ready to offer 150 million DKK, but to no avail.
