Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has provided his first reaction to news that his side will be forced to take on the might of Real Madrid in the next round of the Champions League.

Bayern, and Real, are of course fresh off booking their respective spots in the semi-finals of European football’s headline club competition.

As much comes owing to respective last-8 victories over Arsenal, and Manchester City.

Pitted against one another on the same side of the draw, this means that two of the continent’s most historic clubs will be forced to do battle, for a spot in June’s finale.

Speaking in the aftermath of Bayern’s downing of Arsenal at the Allianz Arena, the subject of his side’s upcoming opponents was in turn put to the aforementioned Harry Kane.

The England international took in extra-time and penalties in Real Madrid vs Man City alongside his teammates in the stadium, watching the former emerge victorious in the process.

And Kane, during an interview with TNT Sports, went on to confirm his excitement at the prospect of facing off with one of ‘the biggest teams’ imaginable:

“Real Madrid are obviously a big club. They have an amazing history in the Champions League, so it’s going to be a really difficult game for us. But that’s what the Champions League semi-finals are all about. You want to play the biggest teams. So, we enjoy this tonight and then of course we start to prepare.”
