Bayern Munich have reportedly one of Chelsea’s most promising youngsters, but it’s not the one you’d expect.
Reliable German outlet Bild report on Tuesday and the Bundesliga champions have nabbed 16-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala from the Blues’ academy, who has been described as a “mega-talent”.
The teenage prodigy has represented both England and Germany at U16 level and made three appearances for Chelsea’s U18s last season.
Interestingly, Musiala’s agent is Callum Hudson-Odoi’s brother Bradley, and Bild insinuate that this transfer could also have an influence on the England international’s future.
Some last week suggested Bayern still want Hudson-Odoi and the 18-year-old is keen on moving to the Allianz Arena, while conflicting reports claimed he is instead close to signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Musiala, meanwhile, is reported to have arrived in Munich on Tuesday and will sign a five-year deal with the German giants.
Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, is currently still recovering from the ruptured Achilles injury he sustained two months ago, and is hopeful of being fit in time for the start of the new season.
