Bayern Munich’s extensive search for a right-back in this transfer window has landed on Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey, according to Le Parisien, with the club putting in an initial offer valued at €15 million.

The German giants have been heavily linked in recent weeks to several high-profile fullbacks, with the club in communications with Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain over Kieran Trippier (33) and Nordi Mukiele (26) respectively.

Boey captures Bayern’s attention during the Champions League

However, Bayern have now set their sights on Boey after the young Frenchman caught their interest during Galatasaray’s Champions League campaign. Manager Thomas Tuchel was reportedly impressed by the performance of the right-back during his side’s contests against the Turkish team.

How Galatasaray will respond to Bayern’s interest is still unclear, as the fullback has become an integral figure to the team since joining the club from Stade Rennais in 2021. His development during his time in Turkey has even led to calls for the defender to be involved in Didier Deschamps’s national team set-up.
