Bayern Munich are not impressed with Liverpool’s pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to Kicker, via journalist Manuel Veth.

The Reds have been linked with Werner in various reports. There have been suggestions that Liverpool are in advanced talks with Werner regarding a possible transfer in the summer.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to meet Werner’s release clause of €58 million as a result.

However, Bayern Munich are reportedly also interested in the forward, which ultimately means they are unimpressed with Liverpool’s pursuit of Werner.

If this report is true regarding Bayern Munich, it is quite bizarre. Werner is a top talent, which does mean other clubs are going to be interested in him.

The amount of noise that surrounds Liverpool and Werner does suggest that the interest is genuine, but only time will tell if Liverpool are to sign the striker.

It would be a terrific signing, as he is only 23 years old. Werner has scored 25 goals from 31 appearances across all competitions for Leipzig this season, which is why he is being linked to the big clubs.
