Callum Hudson-Odoi is still wanted by Bayern Munich, despite the difficulty of a deal.
The German champions have faced repeated setbacks in trying to strike an agreement with Chelsea.
However, they remain very keen on bringing the teenager to Bavaria, according to Kicker.
A move could hinge on Chelsea’s transfer ban being upheld but Bayern are refusing to give up hope.
That said, the London club are aware that they could be at risk of losing the England international on a free transfer.
Hudson Odoi’s current contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2020.
Bayern are preparing alternative plans for the wide positions if they come up short in pursuit of the Chelsea man.
One is to put faith in Thomas Müller and Alphonso Davies, while the second is to move for Lille’s Nicolas Pépé.
The Ivorian is considered an emergency solution as the preference remains Hudson-Odoi.
