Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are prepared to offer Ousmane Dembele a whopping annual salary of €18million in order to lure the winger to the Allianz Arena, per L’Equipe.

Dembele earns around €13m per year and is set to become a free agent when his contract expires on June 30.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta claimed that the Frenchman could leave the club having received better offers than what the Catalans have put on the table.

“He wants to stay, but he is very tempted by other options that offer better conditions,” Laporta told Catalunya Radio.

“The offer has been presented for a long time and they have asked us for time until the end of the season, next week.

“The coach and I like him. We have made a very important effort to keep him.

“He has some representatives who control the situation, but I hope he stays. If not, we will strengthen that position.”

Amid the current uncertainty surrounding the future of Serge Gnabry, Bayern are now stepping up their pursuit of Dembele on a free transfer with a four-year deal already on the table.

His injury record has been better over the course of the last two seasons where he is on course to make a combined 76 appearances – 25 more than he managed throughout the 2018/19 and 2019/20 campaigns.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, while Paris Saint-Germain remain keen on a move due to the expected departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Dembele would be a superb addition for Bayern as he is no stranger to the German top-flight off the back of a previous spell with Borussia Dortmund prior to his move to the Camp Nou back in 2017.

The Bavarians are also looking to sign Sadio Mane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is eager to join Barcelona.
