According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich will prioritise signing Stade Rennes winger Désiré Doué before the end of the transfer window.
On Saturday, it was announced that Manchester United had finally reached an agreement with Der Rekordmeister for the services of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
It is understood that the record champions will receive €60 million for the pair, with up to €10 million in additional future bonus payments.
With this added income, it is believed that Bayern will be able to target either Jonathan Tah or Désiré Doué, and as stated in the report, securing Doué’s signing will take priority.
A verbal agreement with the Frenchman is already in place, while reaching an agreement with Rennes will no longer be difficult for Bayern.
Max Eberl, Christoph Freund, and Vincent Kompany are all keen to bring Doué to Bavaria this summer, but they still face competition from PSG.
Nevertheless, Bayern will do what they can to make a deal for the 19-year-old happen, with the option of signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Tah off the table for this summer.
