Bayern Munich will be without Harry Kane for the first time this season when Vincent Kompany’s side host Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal Round of 16 on Tuesday night. The Englishman suffered a minor muscle tear in the Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund and will be sidelined for the coming weeks.

It’s likely that Kompany will call upon Thomas Müller to replace Kane, just as he did against Dortmund at the weekend but another option would be to play Mathys Tel – who started on Saturday – in a central position.

Kompany could also make two further changes in attacking positions with Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise coming in for Tel and Leroy Sané. Defensively, don’t expect anything to change.
