Bayern Munich had to work hard to keep up their 100% start to the 2023/24 Champions League group stage, fighting off a spirited Galatasaray side to win 3-1.
Mauro Icardi’s panenka penalty cancelled out Kingsley Coman’s opener before Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala to give the Bundesliga champions the win in the final 20 minutes.
And with that win, Thomas Tuchel’s side have now made Champions League history.
That victory in Istanbul was their eighth consecutive group stage away victory, which is a feat that has never been achieved in the competition before.
The stats just keep coming and look even more impressive as they go long and that result has extended their unbeaten run in the group stage to 37 games, while also becoming their 16th win in a row at this stage of the tournament.
Bayern are relentless.
