Bayern Munich are determined to tie Paul Wanner down to a new contract with the youngster’s current deal set to expire in June.
That’s according to kicker, who report on Monday that Bayern chiefs Oliver Kahn, Hasan Salihamidžić and Marco Neppe are all working hard to convince Wanner to commit his future to the club.
The 16-year-old became Bayern’s youngest ever Bundesliga player when he came off the bench to make his debut in last week’s defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Recent reports in Germany suggested the German U17 international is concerned about his future pathway to the first-team and could leave on a free transfer in the summer.
But Kicker say Bayern’s bosses are hoping to sell their vision to the youngster, and sending him out on loan to gain first-team experience is a possibility.
A decision on Wanner’s future is expected to be made in the next two to three weeks.
