The wait for the Bavarian faithful is over as Bayern Munich resume Bundesliga action after the international break on Friday. The record champions will host Augsburg at Allianz Arena on matchday 11 of the Bundesliga.
Bayern have been in sublime form over the last few weeks. They are currently on a winning run of five games across all competitions. Die Roten have kept clean sheets in all five games before the international break. The last win before the international break came away at St. Pauli.
Courtesy of good form in the Bundesliga, Bayern are sitting at the top of the points table with a lead of five points. Vincent Kompany has managed to turn things around for Die Roten in the Bundesliga after last season’s disappointing third-place finish behind Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart.
Augsburg, meanwhile, are enduring a difficult Bundesliga campaign. They are currently 13th in the Bundesliga table, four points above the relegation zone. However, they come into the game against Bayern in slightly better form, losing just one of their past five league games (2 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat). It will take a special performance from them to get a positive result on Friday.
Let us look at the potential starting XI Vincent Kompany will use on Friday at Allianz Arena.
