Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae (27) played 36 games across all competitions last season but was never seen as a key player for the Rekordmeister, but the South Korean defender is looking forward to working under Vincent Kompany, and is hoping he can learn one or two things from the former Manchester City player.
The Rekordmeister are currently on their tour of Asia, where they play Tottenham Hotspur. Speaking at Friday’s press conference in Seoul, Kim discussed how Kompany could be of help.
“He was a great defender and played at the highest level. I’m trying to learn as much as I can from him. He likes defenders who play aggressively, so I think that could be a good fit. But he hasn’t been here for long yet. I’m looking forward to working together with him.” – Kim Min-jae on Vincent Kompany. (h/t: iMiaSanMia)
Since his €50m move from Napoli last summer, Kim has already been linked with a host of clubs from Milan and Manchester United, to Saudi clubs, but the South Korean never once thought about leaving Bayern Munich.
