Sport1 reports that Bayern Munich have held talks with Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, better known as Bono, as they look for a backup for Manuel Neuer.
Sevilla are currently on a pre-season tour of Germany but Bono is one of the players left at home as he could be sold if the club receives the right offer for the 32-year-old.
Bayern continue their search for a new goalkeeper as Neuer will likely miss the start of the season because his recovery from his broken leg is taking longer than first thought.
However, current goalkeepers Alexander Nübel and Yann Sommer are both unlikely to stay at the club this summer as they want to be the number one goalkeeper. This has forced Bayern to look for a keeper who will not complain if they have to sit on the bench behind Neuer because coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Neuer would be number one once he returns from his injury.
Bono has been Sevilla’s number-one goalkeeper since joining initially on loan in 2019. The 32-year-old has helped Sevilla win two Europa Leagues while also playing a significant role in Morocco’s run to the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar last winter.
