Women’s Super League side Leicester City have announced the signing of goalkeeper Janina Leitzig on Friday.
The 23-year-old joins on loan until the end of the season after departing Bayern Munich.

Leitzig brings some experience to the English club, having made over 100 appearances in her career, including in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
“It feels good to be here. The facilities are great. I’m really excited to train, I’m excited for the upcoming games and excited to be part of this team,” said Leitzig on the deal.
“I have lots of experience in Germany and I hope that will be useful here in England. I have watched some games – the league is very physical and the quality is good too.”
Leitzig will join up with the WSL side immediately.
