Bayern Munich discuss Rudi Garcia in search for next manager | OneFootball

According to L’Équipe, Rudi Garcia could be a surprising addition to the Bayern Munich managerial shortlist after Ralf Rangnick rejected the club to continue his work with the Austrian national team.

Garcia, the former Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais manager has been out of work since he was fired from Napoli in November. The Frenchman had a disastrous few months with the then title-holders as they saw their hopes of maintaining their crown slip out of sight.

However, with options running short for Bayern who still wish to only appoint a temporary fix while they wait for Xabi Alonso to become available (although L’Équipe believes his sights are set on Real Madrid), Garcia could find himself in the the club’s focus, with the club having reportedly already discussed his profile.

Especially since other options, like Roberto De Zerbi and Hansi Flick, are not keen on simply warming the seat while Bayern try and convince their ideal candidate to come to their doors.
