Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich have on Saturday been dealt yet another blow on the personnel front.

As much comes with Thomas Tuchel’s troops locked in action with VfB Stuttgart.

Afforded a starting berth in midfield, Raphaël Guerreiro went to ground in evident discomfort clutching his ankle inside the 20-minute mark at the MHPArena.

After being tended to by the visitors’ medical team, it quickly became evident that Guerreiro was in no fit state to continue, replaced by Leon Goretzka as a result.

Just four days out from Bayern’s crunch Champions League semi-final 2nd-leg showdown with Real Madrid, the Portuguese international’s availability has in turn been thrown firmly up in the air.

This comes amid what has proven an altogether difficult couple of weeks for Tuchel and his team on the personnel front.

In more positive news for Bayern, though, key defender Matthijs de Ligt was considered well enough to be put through his paces in an individualised outdoor training session on Saturday:
