Bayern Munich could bring in Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler to provide cover for Manuel Neuer.

The 32-year-old, who is currently loan at Köln, is being targeted by the Bundesliga champions to replace Alexander Nübel as the back up to the German number one.

Nübel has recently expressed his displeasure as played the role of benchwarmer for Hansi Flick’s side after failing to make a single league appearance since his move from Schalke last summer.

It’s now expected that the 24-year-old could move on from the Allianz Arena at the end of the season leaving Flick with a gap to fill.

And according to Bild, the player to fill that role could be the experienced Zieler.

The report states that the former Leicester keeper has a release clause in his contract meaning Bayern could pick him up for just €500,000.
