According to kicker (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich consider Dayot Upamecano as the most complete centre-back at the club.

It had previously been reported that Der Rekordmeister were considering offloading the Frenchman this summer after a difficult period under Thomas Tuchel.

However, there appears to be a significant change in how Upamecano is now viewed internally at Bayern.

It is understood that since Vincent Kompany’s arrival at the club, the 25-year-old has impressed significantly.

This has seen the Frenchman be branded as the most complete centre-back at the club.

There is a feeling as though Upamecano has all the qualities to be one of the best defenders in the world, but he needs to be in a certain environment in order to flourish.

As stated in the report, it is believed that the former RB Leipzig defender thrives off encouragement, something that Der Rekordmeister will hope Kompany offers during his time at the club.
