Bayern Munich have confirmed that Manuel Neuer underwent a successful operation on his right knee joint on Sunday.
Neuer equalled the record for most Bundesliga wins as a player on Saturday as Bayern beat RB Leipzig 3-2.

The Germany international was at his best as the reigning champions extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
But just 24 hours later the goalkeeper has gone under the knife after a knee knock.
Bayern have confirmed via their official website that the operation was a success and that Neuer will now recuperate for the next few weeks.
It means that Neuer is likely to miss Bayern’s Champions League last 16 clash with RB Salzburg in 10 days time.
