Bayern Munich have confirmed that midfielder Joshua Kimmich has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 26-year-old had been in isolation for the past seven days after coming into contact with someone who had contracted the virus.
It means Kimmich will have to quarantine for 14 days while he recovers which means he will miss the crucial Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund and is also a doubt for the final Champions League group game with Barcelona on December 8.
In an official statement released Bayern confirmed that the midfielder is ‘doing well’.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Bundesliga champions had announced that striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has also tested positive for Corona.
