Bayern Munich have completed a sensational deadline day move for Manchester City defender João Cancelo.
It emerged on Monday that City were willing to allow their Portugal international to leave with The Athletic claiming that he could be on his way to the Bavarian capital.

And now it has been confirmed that the 28-year-old has moved to the Bundesliga champions on loan until the end of the season.

The surprise switch sees Cancelo join Julian Nagelsmann’s side on an initial loan deal with Bayern having the option of making it permanent for €70m.
Cancelo spent four years at Manchester City where he won three Premier League titles and was widely considered to be one of the best defenders in Europe.
