Bayern Munich coach Nagelsmann: Barcelona now have completely new spirit | OneFootball

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann says they must stop Barcelona getting the ball to Robert Lewandowski on Tuesday night.

Former Bayern striker Lewandowski will lead Barca's line for this Champions League clash.

Nagelsmann said: "I don't know if he is their most dangerous player, but he is one of them.

"He is certainly their biggest goal threat. But he needs service.

"Lewandowski always had great runs and positioning in the box. He is most dangerous in front of goal, but if he is not fed, it's difficult, so we have to stop passes, crosses."

Nagelsmann's Bayern beat Barça 3-0 home and away in last season's group stage but the coach is expecting a different test against Xavi's much-changed side.

"We know Barcelona," he said. "They have a completely new spirit. You can wipe the last few games against Barça from your memory. They want to attack differently. They are a difficult opponent.

"It is not a decisive game, but it is a nice test of where we are against a team that has improved a lot. We want to win the home game."
