Bayern Munich close to midfield signing with Leon Goretzka injured

Bayern Munich will start the new Bundesliga season without Leon Goretzka.

The Germany midfielder has suffered an injury and will miss the start of the campaign, Sky report.

Bayern kick off the new season against Hertha BSC on Friday.

Bild say the injury is not too bad, just a bruised thigh, but will keep Goretzka out fo Friday’s game nonetheless.

Bayern are already on the verge of signing another midfielder either way.

According to Sky, Mickaël Cuisance is close to completing a move to the Bundesliga champions.

The Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder, who turns 20 on Friday, made 11 Bundesliga appearances last season but started just once.

The report claims the deal could be sealed on Friday or Saturday.
