After another stellar year on the pitch for Bayern Munich, many clubs are interested in Robert Lewandowski but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge isn’t willing to let him leave.

Speaking to BILD, the club’s CEO has deemed it would be a crazy decision to sell the in-form striker given his recent performances.

“Sure he stays!,” said Rummenigge. “Who sells a player who scores 60 goals a year?”

Reports claim Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has been looking into a potential move for the veteran but Rummenigge continued to dismiss the rumours.

“He didn’t ask. He knows exactly what makes FC Bayern tick,” he said.

“When the transfer market opens on July 1, there will be thousands of rumours that will also affect FC Bayern.”

And with the emerging summer transfer window, Rummenigge was sure to make the club’s intentions known.

“It is important that the facts are always in favour of FC Bayern.”
