Bayern Munich boss Flick: Alaba must take responsibility for contract saga

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick believes David Alaba is the one responsible for his contract saga with the club.

The Austrian defender is out of contract in the summer and could leave on a free transfer.

The German giants have tried to get him to sign a new deal, but cannot seem to reach an agreement.

"David should take responsibility and decide for himself what is important to him," Flick told Die Welt.

"David is a very fine person and a brilliant football player.

"He is very popular with the team and holds them together."

Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been linked to Alaba.
