According to reports, Bayern Munich and Barcelona will battle it out for the 44-year-old, highly sought-after Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Reputable German journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that Bayern Munich are interested in Roberto De Zerbi.
In the past year, the 44-year-old has emerged as one of the world’s most in-demand managers. Barcelona are also interested in the Brighton & Hove Albion manager.
When De Zerbi joined Brighton & Hove Albion, his stock shot through the roof. Because of his striking style of play, he became well-known during his time at Sassuolo.
The 44-year-old’s stature continued to rise throughout his brief tenure at Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, after joining Brighton & Hove Albion a month into the 2022–2023 season, his stock has soared.
De Zerbi led the Seagulls to sixth place in the Premier League last season, which allowed them to earn a spot in the UEFA Europa League.
According to recent sources, he is linked to many Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. The Brighton manager is also being pursued by Bayern Munich and Barcelona now.
Following Xavi Hernandez’s declaration last month that he would be leaving the team at the end of the 2023–24 season, Barcelona have expressed interest in De Zerbi.
Regarding Bayern Munich, the league winners have announced that Thomas Tuchel would be leaving. After 2023–2024, the former manager of Chelsea will depart the Bavarian team. They are searching the market for a successor, and the 44-year-old manager who is in high demand has come to their attention.
And talking about De Zerbi’s future destinations, we cannot rule out Man United who have shown interest in him recently.
