According to Tz, Bayern Munich are very interested in bringing Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho back to the club this summer.
While on loan last season, Coutinho played a part in Bayern’s unbelievable campaign, contributing 11 goals and nine assists in 38 appearances in all competition, including a very memorable three-goal, two-assist performance against Werder Bremen.
However, the 64-time Brazil international has not been able to find the same form this season and has been off the pitch since suffering a torn meniscus in December.
Bayern reportedly want to bring the 28-year-old back into the side due to his experience at the club in addition to his ability to play both in the midfield and on the wing.
Although the interest is high, the move is unlikely to materialise as Barcelona will look to recoup much of the €140m they paid Liverpool back in 2018.
With Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala proving to be more than adequate in the heart of the Bayern squad, it’s hard to imagine Bayern will pony up to pay Coutinho’s massive wages, believed to be in the range of €200,000 to €300,000 per week.
