Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has been repeatedly linked with a move to FC Bayern in recent weeks. Now there is new information about where the Portuguese could be heading in the summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed to CaughtOffside that Fernandes‘ agent Miguel Pinho did indeed meet with a number of top European clubs last week. „The player is still focussed on Man United and his departure has not been decided at this stage,“ the Italian journalist explained.

The Portuguese’s decision will depend on „what happens with the coach“ and Manchester United’s plans for the coming season. A contract extension for the versatile attacking player is also not ruled out.

Fernandes himself recently declared his loyalty to the Red Devils: „I love playing at Old Trafford more than anything else in the world. I don’t want to leave here. This has always been my biggest dream.“

He also said: „I just want to keep fighting. I want to be here. My family wants to be here. We want to fight for the championship. We want to play in the Champions League.“

However, the clear commitment to his current club does not appear to be a major problem, at least for FC Bayern. While Thomas Tuchel was a big fan of the 29-year-old attacking star, Munich’s interest has apparently cooled since the signing of Vincent Kompany. According to BILD, Fernandes is currently „no longer a concrete target“.

There was never an official offer from the German record champions anyway. However, the possibility of a transfer still exists, even if the chances are slim. Because if the people in charge in Manchester „don’t want him for any reason, I will leave,“ Fernandes explained a few weeks ago.
