FC Bayern continues to scout for young, hungry players. The name Ousmane Diomande from Sporting Lisbon has now been brought into play for the defence.

FC Bayern is currently working intensively on its squad planning for the coming season. One or two young talents are also rumoured to be on the record champions‘ list. According to the latest reports, Ousmane Diomande is also on the Munich club’s wish list.

As the Portuguese sports newspaper O Jogo reports, Bayern have had their eye on the 20-year-old centre-back for some time. There were already reports of this at the end of last year.

Numerous top clubs have Diomande on their radar

According to O Jogo, Munich have increased their scouting of the player and are focussing more closely on him. In addition to Bayern, however, there are numerous other interested parties. Premier League clubs Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in the Ivory Coast international.

After playing football in the Ivory Coast in his youth, Diomande moved to Europe in January 2022 to join the youth team of FC Midtjylland (Denmark). In August 2022, the player was loaned to Mafra (Portugal) for the first time before his transfer to Sporting Lisbon followed in January 2023. the 1.90-metre centre-back is said to have cost €7.5 million. The defender’s current market value is estimated at €40 million.
