Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has signed a contract extension, the club have announced.
The 45-year-old’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of next season but he has now penned a new contract until the summer of 2026.
Salihamidžić has already served in the role for five years, having been appointed in the summer of 2017.
“I would like to thank the supervisory board for the trust they have placed in me, especially chairman Herbert Hainer, who supported my ideas and plans at every stage. I’ve always said it: I love Bayern, Munich is my home,” he stated via the club’s official website.
“I am very pleased that we can continue our very good and ultimately strong cooperation. It is my goal and the goal of my board colleagues, to whom I would also like to thank, to offer our members and fans a nationally and internationally competitive and successful team every season, based on economic reason. I will continue to give everything for this – we are on a very good path.”
During his time in the role, Bayern have won five league titles, a Champions League, European Supercup, Club World Cup and the DFB Pokal on two occasions.
