Anthony Barry has teamed up with Thomas Tuchel again, with Bayern Munich confirming the arrival of the coach from Chelsea.

The pair met at the Premier League club, with Tuchel making it his express wish to take Barry with him when he was appointed by Bayern last month.

Talks between the clubs have dragged on but Barry has now joined the Bundesliga leaders.

“I’m delighted that we’ve managed to sign Anthony Barry,” said Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić. “Anthony completes our coaching team and, with his passion and quality, fits in perfectly with FC Bayern.”

Barry was involved with team training on Friday and will be on the bench with Tuchel and the rest of the coaching staff as Bayern visit Mainz this weekend.
