Ahead of Germany’s friendly against Peru on Sunday evening, Bayern Munich have paid tribute to their greatest Peruvian son.

Claudio Pizarro enjoyed two separate spells with the Bundesliga champions – first between 2001 and 2007, before returning for a second stint between 2012 and 2015.

During that time, the striker netted 125 times in 327 appearances, winning six Bundesliga titles, five DFB-Pokals and the 2013 Champions League.

Here, courtesy of the club’s official Twitter account, are some of his best bits in a Bayern shirt.

Pizarro is, of course, still playing for Werder Bremen at the ripe old age of 39, but he won’t feature against Die Mannschaft in Sinsheim as he retired from international football in 2016 having collected 85 caps.
