Julian Nagelsmann hailed Robert Lewandowski’s unrelenting attitude after the striker got on the scoresheet yet again in Saturday’s thumping of VfL Bochum.

The Poland international has been breaking records left, right, and centre of late, and he was writing more history at the Allianz Arena.

His goal, his ninth of the season and Bayern’s fifth on the day, meant he has now scored in 15 consecutive Bundesliga games.

It was the 13th straight home game he has scored in, and he also became the only current player to have scored against all 18 clubs in the top division.

“He’s so hungry to score goals and he’s so hungry to assist goals for his team-mates as well,” Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann told bundesliga.com.

“Today he had three or four great passes in the final third to create chances for his team-mates, so in the end he’s still the best forward in the world and he’ll score a lot of goals for us this season as well.”

The form of Bayern and their ace marksman will be of massive concern for basement side Gurther Fürth ahead of the sides’ meeting on Friday.
