Bayer Leverkusen will allow Jonathan Tah to leave the club for at least €20m | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen will allow defender Jonathan Tah to leave the club for at least €20m this summer.

Tah can imagine leaving Leverkusen this summer and the defender has his sights set on the Premier League. When previously asked about his future, Tah said: “There was also interest from other leagues, but it has always been my goal to play in the Premier League at some point. Because it’s simply the best league. Measuring yourself at this level is attractive, of course also at my age.”

The defender has his eyes set on regaining a place in the German national team ahead of the European Championships next summer in Germany.

The 27-year-old had a release clause in his contract worth €18m which has expired on the 10th of July but that will not stop the defender from leaving. Tah’s current contract at die Werkself expires in 2025, so Leverkusen have made it clear that if they receive an offer of more than €20m then they will allow Tah to leave.

Kicker reports that West Ham have previously shown interest in the defender and with the arrival of former Leverkusen director Tim Steidten a move could become even more feasible.
