Speaking to German football account Fiago, Hofmann stated that the atmosphere at Celtic Park was unbelievable.
“Of course, the fans of Celtic, Glasgow. We played there with (Borussia) Monchengladbach in the Champions League. This atmosphere was unbelievable. I only saw the faces of the guys, and they were shouting and shouting and it was unbelievable.”

Hofmann then responded to a question asking if the atmosphere was intimidating, confirming that it was.
“Absolutely, yeah crazy, yeah.”
The atmosphere was incredible that night but in retrospect, it was a game that Celtic should’ve done better in despite coming up against a good Bundesliga team.
Monchengladbach won 2-0 after two defensive mistakes from Celtic. Although, Hofmann could yet make a return to Paradise if Leverkusen are drawn with Celtic in the Champions League next season.
