Bayer Leverkusen will demand between €70-€80 million for attacker Moussa Diaby this summer, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The 23-year-old pacy winger has flourished for Die Werkself this season and his performances could earn him a big summer move to the Premier League.

Diaby has bagged nine goals and eight assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances this term. He also scored two goals in the Champions League before they dropped into the Europa League.

He added a further three goals and one assist as Leverkusen reached the semi-final of the Europa League, where AS Roma knocked them out.

His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, with Newcastle United leading the race to secure his services.

The Magpies have qualified for the Champions League and are trying to reinforce their squad for next season.

They have Miguel Almiron on the right flank, but they want another option.

Man United are also interested in Diaby, but their transfer activities hinge on the sale of the club, which has dragged on for months.

It is still unclear what the Glazer family will do with the club despite having offers from Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

That indecision makes it hard for the club to start deciding on transfers for next season.

Man United have Antony to play on the right wing, but they need another option. Jadon Sancho has been disappointing since returning to England from Borussia Dortmund.

However, Amad Diallo is coming back from a loan spell at Sunderland. United could decide to stick with Antony and the Ivory Coast star.

After his remarkable season, Diaby will likely be one of the most coveted attackers in the summer transfer window.

He will have plenty of suitors, but Leverkusen have the leverage in negotiations as the attacker’s contract runs until 2025.
