Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah for a club record fee.
He reportedly signs for an initial £30m plus a further £5m in add-ons.
The centre-back has signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga side, and is the club's fifth signing of a very busy summer following Xabi Alonso's departure and Erik ten Hag's appointment.
The 22-year-old moves in the opposite direction of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, who have made the switch to Anfield, with the former also being a club record deal for the Premier League champions, although the Reds do retain a buy-back clause for the centre-back.
Quansah leaves Liverpool after 17 years with the club, having joined the academy aged just five. He made his breakthrough in Jürgen Klopp's final season in charge, but quickly fell out of favour under Arne Slot, making just four league starts under the Dutchman.
In total, he made 58 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals.
