Igor Paixão is attracting interest from Bayer Leverkusen. According to Voetbal International, the German club under Erik ten Hag, are interested in the Feyenoord attacker.
The Germans have not yet made an official offer to Feyenoord, but the Rotterdammers are said to be aware of the interest from Leverkusen and are steadily aiming for a new transfer record for the 24-year-old.
Paixão, who joined from Brazilian Coritiba in the summer of 2022, developed into a regular in the Feyenoord team under Arne Slot. Last season, he scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in the Eredivisie. In the Champions League, the winger scored twice and turned provider five times.
Paixão has a contract until the summer of 2028, although the chances of a longer Feyenoord stay are slim. There is reportedly interest from the Premier League for Paixão, who seems to be in his final months at Feyenoord. His move could easily become a new record. The most expensive sale ever at Feyenoord dates back to January, when Santiago Gimenez left for AC Milan for 35 million euros.
Currently, Paixão’s transfer value sits at 35 million, and Feyenoord would likely push for somewhere in the 40-45 million mark.
