After announcing the separation with Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel back in February, FC Bayern has still not found a coach for the new season. Time is slowly running out if they want to have a new coach in place for the resumption of training. Munich’s managers have been criticised in the media for the faltering search for a coach. Now Leverkusen boss Fernando Carro is also speaking out.

The competition is also not mincing its words when it comes to the unsuccessful search for a new coach at FC Bayern. Now Leverkusen boss Fernando Carro has spoken publicly on the subject. In an interview with WELT.TV ,the man in charge of the newly crowned Bundesliga champions made a critical statement about their direct rivals .

When asked whether the German record champions had already hired a new coach under his responsibility, the 59-year-old was initially rather reserved in his response. However, Carro then added: „Well, that’s another trick question. I am convinced of my work and my abilities, but I am also convinced of the work and abilities at other clubs. I think there are reasons why they don’t have a coach.“

Carro: „Believe that they have done a good job over the years“

Carro continued: „But I believe that the people in charge at Bayern have done a good job over the years. That’s why you shouldn’t criticise everyone because of a few weeks of waiting for a coach,“ said the 59-year-old.

Although the Bayer boss has criticised the current work of those responsible in Munich, he does not want to fully endorse the current media criticism.

It was only last week that Bayern coach Tuchel announced that his contract in Munich would definitely end this summer. This was the next setback for the Bayern bosses in their search for a new coach, after they had recently negotiated with their current coach about continuing to work with him. Although the search for a coach has been going on for much longer than planned, those responsible now have to sound out the market again and start from scratch.
