An update on the plans of the board at Barcelona for on-loan youngster Vitor Roque has on Thursday been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Roque’s future remaining very much away from Catalunya’s capital.
Frontman Roque of course sealed an exit from Barcelona this past summer.
Just six months on from his arrival at the club, the 19-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements, allowed to link up with La Liga rivals Real Betis for the duration of the campaign.
Roque has since gone on to enjoy an altogether more fruitful time of things in Seville, having established himself as an important figure in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, on his way to six goals across all competitions.
As much, however, will not prove sufficient to change the minds of those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from Diario Sport, Barcelona’s plans remain unchanged – to sell Roque on a permanent basis at the highest possible price.
This could well mean a third club entering the fray, with Real Betis, as things stand, not in a financial position to activate their option to buy the Brazilian international.
